Getting a Visa to Study With Us

If you are outside the EU you might need to apply for a student visa in your country. Below are the types of visa we can help you get and what you need to know before you apply for one.

Types of visa for adult students (18+)

There are 2 main types of student visa for adults that you can get with the help of our Colleges:

You must have a confirmation letter from a parent or guardian in their home country who is responsible for their care who confirms they consent to the arrangements for the applicant’s travel, reception and care in the UK
You must show that you intend to leave at the end of your studies

What happens when you arrive at the school?

  1. You must show us your passport when you arrive and tell us if you move accommodation or change your contact details while in the UK.
  2. Your attendance must be regular and if you do not attend your course regularly, you may be deregistered from the College (Please read the Student Handbook for more information).
  3. You may have to register with the Police when you arrive. This means that you will have to go to a Police Head Quarters Station and show your passport/student identity card. We can help you with this, so please ask Reception for more information.

What happens if your visa application is unsuccessful

Unfortunately, visa applications are not always successful. If this happens to you, you must show us a Visa Refusal Letter from the Embassy/Consulate you applied to. Once we have a copy of this, we will refund any money you have paid us except for a £250 administration fee and any bank charges we have to pay in order to transfer your money back.
