The School

Want to learn English in the UK’s second most populated city? Our Birmingham school is located right on Broad Street in the city centre and provides a modern and comfortable environment to study in.

At TEG English Birmingham, our English and other language classes are interactive and engaging and our social programme provides a fantastic opportunity to explore the best of UK culture.

We welcome all students into the TEG family, a multi-city community that supports and guides students in their journey to full language fluency.

Social Programme

To study English with TEG is to enjoy a rich cultural experience. We believe that successful language learning is helped by regular socialisation between students of many cultures and contact with local UK culture. All of our colleges have a fantastic social programme, with day trips, events and activities all year round.

See below for an example of our weekly programmes

The City of Birmingham

There are so many things to do in Birmingham and our College is only a few minutes’ walk from them all. Ready to shop? Explore the Bull Ring and Grand Central which offers shopping for any budget. Discover Brindley Place or The Mailbox which has some of best places to eat in the UK, with restaurants serving food from over 30 countries all over the world. You can also experience some of Birmingham’s culture at a concert in the famous Symphony Hall. Or learn more about Birmingham’s diverse history as you walk along their beautiful canals. Everything is just a short walk away, so you will have plenty to explore after your classes!

Why Choose This School?

  • Britain’s second city with lots to see and do. You will never be bored!
  • The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings are based on places and people in Birmingham where the writer J. R. R Tolkien lived. The famous TV show ‘Peaky Blinders’ is set in Birmingham.
  • Birmingham has more canals than Venice – nearly 35 miles of them!
  • Birmingham has many different festivals every year.
  • Birmingham was the birthplace of Heavy Metal and has a rich Pop music heritage too – Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, Duran Duran, Robert Plant and many others all come from the Birmingham area.
